Sleep

Do you get enough sleep? Or are you getting too much? Most of us believe we need our eight hours or we feel tired.
According to the Seth Material and other sources, we actually only need five hours at night followed by an hour or two in the afternoon of sleep for our bodies and minds to be at their best.

Good news for those who can't find enough hours in the day :-)

Positive Thoughts

Positive thoughts and feelings can have a really good effect on your health and well being.

By doing things that make you feel good, make you laugh and lift your spirit, you are more likely to be healthy.

Stress is one of the most common causes of ill health. If you lead a stressful life, try to balance it out with relaxing pastimes, Meditation, Reiki and Yoga can be very beneficial or you may prefer Art or knitting :-) whatever relaxes you. If you are calm, relaxed and happy, you are a lot more likely to stay healthy.

Listening to Your Body

Do you listen to your body?

As a healer, I have learned a lot about the nature of illness. Our natural state is wellness therefore if you become unwell, often there is something you need to address in your life and your body is asking you to listen up.

Next time you are unwell, quiet your mind and listen to the message your body is trying to give you. If you get the message, act on it. It may also be of benefit to send loving thoughts to the unwell part of you and imagine becoming well (the mind is more powerful than you may think).

I have put this into practice for myself and others with very positive results however I would still advise you to see a doctor if you are unwell.

The Nature of Reality

More than a decade ago I came across The Seth Material. Seth is an entity existing outside this reality who was channeled by Jane roberts in the 1970's.

Seth says we each are entities that exist far beyond this reality and our physical self is the vehicle that a small part of our entity uses to experience physical reality.

Seth says that we each create our own reality. Everything in your reality is created by your own entity through your thoughts and beliefs about it.

Food for thought :-)

Tai Chi

Tai Chi Chuan can be translated as Supreme Ultimate Force. Tai Chi is a Chinese exercise similar to Yoga and Meditation, derived from Taoism one of Chinas oldest belief systems. Many of the movements are derived from Martial Arts there are also sequences of movements called Forms or Sets.

One of the aims of Tai Chi is to circulate the Chi in our bodies promoting the health and vitality of the person. Other aims are to calm the mind, improve balance, body alignment and control of movement. The slow graceful movements of Tai Chi Chuan can lead to one becoming more even-tempered.

After just one class of Tai Chi I can honestly say I have rarely felt so calm and relaxed.

Colour therapy

Colour is simply light of varying wavelengths/frequencies. As we are basicly made of energy, is is not suprising that colour can have an effect on us. Have you ever noticed how calm a room can feel if it is painted in blue or lilac shades? Or how busy a room can feel if it is painted red or orange? Even the colours we wear have an effect. If you choose to wear a bright colour you somehow feel more alive and energised.

Colour therapists mainly use the seven colours of the rainbow, each colour relating to one of the Chakras in our body. A therapist will use one or more of the following during a treatment:-

Silks in Chakra colours to lay over the body
Full spectrum lights
Colour solarised water
Aromatherapy oils
Colour energised oils
Crystals
Karmagraphs
Mandalas
Visualisation
Colour breathing techniques
Art techniques

The aim of a Colour therapy session is to balance the energy in the Chakras to promote wellbeing.

Crystal Healing

Crystals emit energy, different kinds emit different frequencies. You may be able to feel the energy from a Crystal if you hold it in the palm of your hand, close your eyes and relax, you may sense a slight pulsating energy.

Crystals have long been used for their healing properties. We have energy centres in our bodies called Chakras. These are located down the centre of our bodies from the crown to the base ( genital area). Each of these Chakras can get blocked or the energy flow out of balance, eventually causing physical problems and illness.

Crystals can be used to balance the energy by being placed on or near the body. Different Crystals will affect different energy centres, for example, Rose quartz is believed to help the flow of energy in the heart Chakra area and Amethyst for the third eye (forehead) Chakra.
